Graduation: a. In accordance with current DOE guidelines, we are making preparations for multiple outdoor graduation ceremonies on the field on June 23, 2021. 
 
Participants will adhere to all rules pertaining to social distancing and other safety measures.
Students will attend one ceremony with 2 guests on June 23rd.
 
 
Caps, gowns, tassels, and diploma cases, as well as a Class of 2021 t-shirt and Class of 2021 window sign, are available for ALL graduating seniors.
Distribution begins mid-June (week of June 15), along with yearbooks for those who have purchased one.
 
We will also be creating a virtual graduation video that will include all of our graduates
 
In-Person Graduation 2021
 
In-person graduation ceremonies will take place on Wednesday, June 23 (with a rain
date of Thursday, June 24) on the school’s field.
There will be four ceremonies: 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm.
 
Each ceremony will coincide with student speakers as follows:
  • 9 am: Hannah Puelle (Student Organization President)
  • 11 am: Clarissa Didonato (Valedictorian)
  • 1 pm: Sienna O’Connor (Senior Council President)
  • 3 pm: Jacob Aznavoorian (Salutatorian)
Registration
  1. A maximum of 200 students with two guests each per ceremony will be scheduled and
    your time will be chosen on a first come first served basis through a google form. Once
    a ceremony time slot is full it will be closed and the rest will remain.
  2. The registration form will be emailed Monday, May 10th at 2;30 pm, through student
    Gmail and pupil path. It can only be accessed through the student Fort Hamilton
    account (fthamiltonhs.org). It will close at a set time every evening and re-open at a
    set time each morning, so please read the instructions carefully.\
  3. This form closes FOR GOOD at 10 pm on Friday, May 28th.
  4. Attending a graduation ceremony is NOT mandatory. A recorded virtual ceremony will
    be available for all students on the evening of June 23.
  5. We ask that ALL seniors fill out the form – if you do not plan on attending a
    ceremony please choose “virtual-only”. If nothing has been chosen by Friday, May 28 th,
    you will automatically be signed up for virtual-only.
Entry/Safety
  • Doors will open 35 minutes prior to a given ceremony. Each ceremony will last
    approximately one hour.
  • Graduates and their two guests must enter TOGETHER on the 83 rd street side of the building at Narrows Avenue.
  • All guests must provide evidence of vaccine or a negative Covid test (within 72 hours of
    June 23) upon entry. This rule is MANDATED by the City and State and MUST be
    adhered to in order to enter.
  • Students will sit in assigned “pods” with their two guests, alphabetically. Social
    distancing and masks are
    REQUIRED.
Exit
 
  • Everyone will exit promptly at the end of the ceremony on the 85th street side of the
    building. (Please be courteous of those attending a later ceremony by leaving the area
    once the ceremony has ended).

If you have not already joined the FHHS Yearbook 2021 classroom, please do so:
This classroom will be used for seniors to submit photos for this VERY UNIQUE senior year in various categories of the yearbook, such as teams, clubs, baby photos, etc.
