College Now is CUNY’s largest collaborative program with the New York City secondary public school system.  The program offers dual enrollment and college-readiness programs in more than 400 NYC high schools and enrolls over 20,000 students annually.  Fort Hamilton High School is one of the 400 NYC high schools that has partnered with Kingsborough Community College’s College Now Program.  Qualified students are able to take college-level courses at Fort Hamilton and earn three college credits.  Students must be upper juniors and have an 80 GPA in order to be eligible.  Non-credit bearing courses are offered to assist students in working towards college-credit bearing courses.

The goal of College Now is to help students meet high school graduation requirements and prepare for success in college, both academically and socially.  In addition, the program is designed with the goal of enhancing performance on Regents and CUNY placement exams so that students will be able to enroll in college without the need for remediation.
