The Metropolitan Museum of Art Student Learning Community at Fort Hamilton
Students in Ms. Long/Mr. Hajjar's and Ms. Long/Ms. Albanese's 11th-grade English classes participated in a year-long partnership with the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In addition to participating in three in-person tours of the Met's collection, curated and led by Ms. Long, students produced culminating projects in which they used material from the Met's collection to expand upon and connect to ideas explored in three of the full-length texts they read this year: A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry, The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, and All My Sons by Arthur Miller. Please take some time to explore the exciting and creative work students are producing in their English classes!
