DEVICES are available to students for home use:  A separate email was sent on 10/22 regarding the opportunity for any Fort Hamilton student to request a computer device with an internet connection if they do not have access to one at home, and have not had one previously issued by the NYC Dept. of Education.  If you need a device, 1) complete the request form on link below and then 2) go to your guidance counselor to pick up the Parental Consent form.  3) Return completed Parental Consent form to your guidance counselor and 4) you will be notified about a time and place to pick up the device within 3-4 days.

NYC School Account (NYCSA): In addition to a Pupilpath account, we want all families to have a school account with NYC DOE, commonly referred to as NYCSA (NYC School Account).  For any family who hasn’t registered for the account, we will distribute a letter in 3rd period classes on Monday, 10/25 with information.  Please ask your child about this letter and follow up to have the account that allows you to complete the covid testing consent form, the photo consent form, update Blue Card information, etc.

We had 3 positive cases of covid-19 this week, but none of them necessitated that any student quarantine.  If your child is sick and tests positive for covid, please contact their counselor with the test results.  We will report to the DOE as required, determine close contacts, then notify all close contacts.  ONLY if a staff member in the classroom tests positive will quarantine be required for unvaccinated students.  In the case of quarantine, all teachers who have the student(s) on quarantine will provid work via Google Classroom. If there are questions, please follow up with the counselor.

Thanks to everyone for a smooth administration of the Map Growth MATH assessment to all Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 students this week.  A reminder that these city-wide assessments will be administered two more times this year in both English/ENL and Math; they are not graded and will assist instructional planning only.  Teachers will be working together to analyze the results by grade as well as individual classes and students, and instruction will address skill gaps.

NX Recovery - Online Classes: Teachers will be supporting a caseload of students who need to make up NX courses from Spring 2021. NX Lab will be available during Saturday Academy from 9-11am starting October 23.  It’s critical that students complete the work no later than January 15 to avoid having to make up the full course.

Saturday Tutoring and NX Lab begins OCTOBER 23 from 9-11am at FHHS.  Students must have their FHHS ID and arrive before 10am.  For tutoring opportunities across all content areas, please see the Fall Term Tutoring Schedule attached that includes Saturday for specific subjects.

Please check our website at fthhs.org for updates and links to Pupilpath, NYC School Accounts, and other etc.

Thank you for your cooperation and dedication to our school community.
