Fort Hamilton high school News and Information-February 3, 2021

Fort Students and Families,                                             February 3, 2021

The snow storm was a blustery way to begin Term 2 on February 2nd, and I hope that everyone remains safe and healthy.

All instruction and school activities remain remote until further notice.  Classes Meet Every Day this week.  We will transition to the schedule of asynchronous days below starting on Monday, February 8th.  We are also spreading the test days over 5 days per week.  Both schedules begin next week and teachers will be reviewing with their classes.

In Term 2, students primarily continue with their Term 1 program and teachers.  Exceptions are one-term courses or other adjustments as needed.  Please check Pupilpath to verify Term 2 program and reach out to your counselor with questions

Term 1 Report Card on Pupilpath.  Passing grades are 65% and over OR CR (credit).  Any grades of NC (no credit) OR NX (incomplete) will need to be made up Term 2.

To access the report card, go to the “Grades” tab to the right of “Schedule” tab.  Then click “Report Card” along the left side.  Make sure you’re on Year/Term 2020-2021: Term 1 located above the blue header line.  You’ll see grades for each marking period and the final grades are under MP3.

Reminders about ACTION ITEMS:

CREATING NYCSA ACCOUNT

Fill out the covid-19 testing consent form online using a New York City Schools Account (NYCSA) at mystudent.nyc. · If you already have a NYCSA account linked to your student(s): Log in, click your student’s name, click “Manage Account,” and then when a dropdown menu appears, click “Consent Forms.” Read the page, and then choose the consent option at the end for your student. · If you do not already have a NYCSA account: You can create one with an account creation code from Ms. Makkar.  It takes approximately five minutes, and then provide the consent as described above. If you do not have an account creation code from your school, you can still provide your consent right away by clicking “Manage Consent” under “COVID-19 Testing” and filling out your and your child’s information to provide consent.

I hope that Term 2 is off to a good start.  Please reach out if you have questions or concerns.
