Senior Requirements
Senior Requirements to apply to the National Honor Society are:
- Must be in 12th grade
- Minimum of 90.0% GPA
- 10 hours of community service outside of school AND 10 hours of service inside of school.
- Service hours will only be considered if they were completed between May 2022 and present day.
- Service outside of school may include volunteering at park cleanups, community centers (i.e. soup kitchens or shelters), religious centers (i.e. churches/temples/mosques)
- Service inside of school may include participating in club events for Key Club or American Red Cross, tutoring a student or group, helping a teacher/guidance counselor/administrator, being a library monitor, or helping with/performing at FHHS shows/parades
- Active participation in school and/or community activities
Examples of what is acceptable of active participation, but not limited to:
- Consistently attend and contribute to club meetings, may be in Leadership or participate in outside community activities/organizations.
- No disciplinary record
Important Dates:
- Applications will be sent out via email Friday, November 4th.
- Deadline to submit applications is Friday, November 18th at 4:00 PM.
