The Anchor is now accepting submissions for the 60th Anniversary Cover Contest. The winner will have their artwork on the cover of this year’s magazine.

Draw or paint a picture that reminds you of Fort Hamilton. It could be the building, a tiger, a view from the window, your favorite classroom, etc. Your image should include no words. Write your full name and OSIS on the back. Leave in the basket by room 310 or 855.

Calling all Fort Hamilton students and staff!

Let’s come together to support those affected by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica. The Black Student Union is leading a heartfelt initiative to collect essential items for the victims. We kindly ask you to donate toiletries, such as soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, diapers, baby wipes, and other hygiene products, as well as new or gently used clean, wearable clothing.

Your contributions will make a significant difference in the lives of those in need. Please drop off your donations in the designated boxes located in the Fort Hamilton High School lobby. Let’s show our love and care for Jamaica and stand in solidarity with our community. Together, we can make a powerful impact.

The New York State Education Department is pleased to announce the 2026 NYS Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Fine Arts and Essay Exhibition, honoring the life and teachings of Dr. King. We invite schools to participate by submitting student artwork and essays that reflect Dr. King’s legacy and philosophy of nonviolence.
